Contrast Adjustment
At Low Magnifications
Microscopy at magnifications below 5x is done either with the swing-out condenser lens in the "out" position or with a specialized condenser capable of being used only with low magnification objectives.
This tutorial explores utilization of the field diaphragm to control contrast in low magnification microscopy, as opposed to the condenser aperture diaphragm, which is used for contrast adjustment with high magnification objectives.
